Classrooms
All our classrooms are designed as per international standards following the UK guidelines for preschool design. Our classrooms are the most spacious in the country. They are designed to offer natural sunlight throughout the day, the rooms are air-conditioned, and they are naturally ventilated once a session.
Playground
Kangaroo Kids Preschools has invested heavily in research and design of a purpose-built playground for preschool age children. The playground provides different areas for development including gross motor skills, vestibular (sense of balance), and tactile development.

THEME TEACHING
At Kangaroo Kids, our curriculum is based around themes into which all learning is integrated. Theme teaching enhances children’s concept development because it integrates learning from many different curriculum areas simultaneously. Thus, the brain is stimulated to make connections to 'create'. As they participate in reading, math, science activities; they break the boundaries of traditional subject matter!
LANGUAGE
DEVELOPMENT
Kangaroo Kids has evolved a multi-sensory reading program based on a firm Foundation in phonics, knowledge linking sounds and letters, as well as visual memory. A wide variety of exciting activities also help children acquire pre-reading skills and reading skills.
Children are exposed to English and Dhivehi by our experienced academic faculty. During the language lessons, the children are introduced to basic vocabulary such as greetings, colours, shapes and animals!

Kangaroo Kids is the only preschool in Maldives to have designated teachers for Physical Education, Reading and Quran.
MATHEMATICAL
CONCEPTS
A wide range of activities are built into the mathematics program to provide children with meaningful experiences in problem solving, number usage and a practical application of initial number concepts. Our Math program allows for hands-on exploration, active investigation!

Circle Time
We gather children together in a safe haven like circle where all are equally accepted, appreciated and heard. It enhances listening, speaking, social and creative skills. They use higher-order critical thinking skills and begin to develop writing skills. So every time we gather children for circle time; we help them build a broad range of skills!
Sing Along
Nursery rhymes provide children with opportunities to develop an appreciation for rhyme and rhythm. It develops their memory, auditory skills and eye hand coordination. Rhymes also make language more interesting and memorable and help the children to also conceptualize what the words mean.
Art Time
Art influences and shapes healthy development of all parts of the brain and this in turn encourages creativity. When children work with art materials; it gives them a chance to be creative. We provide opportunities for children to enjoy the open-minded nature of art in activities that support their creative process.
Conversation Time
The best way to spark children’s discussions is to ask questions. The activities conducted during conversation time help children develop language and critical thinking skills.
ENRICHMENT
Provides solutions for early learning play to open up the world of early math, science and language skills for young children!
A swimming program, with the goal of teaching all students graduating from Kangaroo Kids to swim; Splash is one of it's kind run by a preschool in Maldives.
"Caring Hands" is a club run by a group of teachers which promotes health, hygiene and welfare activities of the school. Some of the activities include; health education weeks, health checkup programmes, professionals sharing information in the assemblies, exercise sessions (Zumba, etc) for students and teachers, sports activities for students, teachers and parents.
